Hakea Cultivars

Hakeas are a remarkable genus, greatly unknown in our gardens or cut flower farms.  Bilby Blooms is trying to rectify this!  The Genus has many spectacular flowering species from the arid interior of Australia.  We have been breeding some of these species, and trialing the hybrids for both gardens and cut flowers.  They are proving to be frost and drought hardy, not too large and full of nectar for all the visiting pollinators.

Bilby Blooms is venturing into the world of grafting, seeing if we can widen the areas where these wonderful cultivars can reliably grow.
